EAST RUTHERFORD — Connor Barwin's resume suggests he shouldn't be a member of the Giants second-team defense.
So does his play in practice.
Barwin, a 32-year-old former Pro Bowler, has been too much for the second-team offensive line to handle during the first two weeks of training camp, as he is playing like a man on a mission. The Giants signed Barwin — who previously played for the Texans, Eagles and Rams — to a two-year, $3.5 million deal to bolster their pass rush.
"I think Connor is an experienced player and he’s had some really good reps out there, which we expect because he’s a good player," head coach Pat Shurmur said.
