EAST RUTHERFORD -- Leonard Johnson thought his NFL career might be cooked.
Johnson is used to bouncing around after playing for four teams in the last four seasons, but he started to wonder if he had reached the finish line when his phone didn't ring this offseason.
But enrolling in culinary school and turning a lifelong passion into a career as a chef will have to wait. Johnson signed with the suddenly injury-prone Giants last week.
"I don't want to just sit around," Johnson said. "I had never been in a situation where I hadn't been able to be involved in OTAs or the start of a training camp.
