Through two games, Landon Collins has 11 tackles and one pass defensed. He does not have a tackle for loss, does not have a quarterback hit and nothing close to a forced fumble or interception. This is not the sort of production the Giants need and expect from their third-year strong safety.
“I’m just doing my job within the defense,’’ Collins said Thursday. “A lot of teams key in on me when I’m down [near the line of scrimmage]. A lot of stuff is sliding my way, but that’s opening up looks for other guys. That’s a plus.
