TRENTON -- Gov. Chris Christie didn't take back calling Eli Manning a "liar" -- but his latest comments about the New York Giants quarterback were much softer.
An email surfaced last week that raised questions about whether Manning played a role in an alleged fake sports memorabilia scheme that is the subject of a three-year lawsuit in Bergen County court.
During a guest appearance on the "Boomer & Carton" radio show on WFAN last Friday, Christie referred to the quarterback as "the liar Eli Manning" and said "he got caught.
