New Jersey governor Chris Christie piled on Giants quarterback Eli Manning last week when news broke that there’s an email that proves that he’s allegedly guilty of memorabilia fraud.
Christie called Manning a “liar” who “got caught” in a scam.
“Could you ever imagine Peyton being involved in this?” said Christie while on WFAN. “No, definitely not. Peyton’s smarter.”
Manning indirectly responded to Christie.
“I can’t get concerned with that,” Manning said. “I think, again, my track record speaks for itself and so do the Giants, their history and their history of doing things the right way speaks for itself.
