Celebrated name from Giants lore returns to the locker room

A famous name in Giants history is back in their camp, at least for the weekend.

Andrew Robustelli, grandson of late Hall of Fame defensive end Andy Robustelli, is trying out at the Giants’ rookie minicamp as a wide receiver out of Jacksonville University.

As if the link to one of the best players in their history wasn’t already strong, the Giants put Andrew Robustelli’s locker directly underneath his grandfather’s name on the ring of franchise greats that lines the walls of their locker room.

“I was a Giants fan out of the womb,” said Robustelli, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound prospect who caught 23 touchdowns in college and is one of seven wideouts trying out in their rookie minicamp at the Meadowlands.
