Not only did the New York Giants lose the battle of winless teams, they incurred injuries to almost the entire wide receiving corps. Odell Beckham sustained a broken leg, while Dwayne Harris broke his foot. Both Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shepard injured their ankles. Marshall’s injury required surgery, ending his 2017 campaign.
Both Marshall and Harris are likely finished as New York Giants. While New York hopes for a 2018 return for Beckham, Shepard appears on pace to play against the Los Angeles Rams. Shepard remains the only hope for the G-Men to jump start a moribund passing attack this season.
