Can Giants’ Vernon Create Flower Power on Offensive Line?

The New York Giants were determined to get a full makeover on their suspect defense that ranked dead last in the NFL in 2015. So when the free agency window opened in March, general manager Jerry Reese gave defensive end Olivier Vernon 85 million reasons to leave sunny Miami for the Big Apple.

In addition to Vernon and other new faces like Janoris Jenkins, Damon Harrison and Keenan Robinson, the defense under coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has taken on a whole new personality; seemingly with some well crafted impetus from an unlikely source, head coach Ben McAdoo.
