New York Giants coach Brian Daboll finally admitted on Tuesday something that has been obvious for months. He will call offensive plays this season after allowing offensive coordinator Mike Kafka to do that the last two seasons.

“Yeah I’m doing it,” Daboll said Tuesday.

Daboll has called plays for the Giants’ offense since OTAs begin in the spring. Until Tuesday, the third-year head coach had not been willing to confirm that he would take on that role this season.

Daboll was offensive coordinator with the Cleveland Browns (2009-2010), Miami Dolphins (2011), Kansas City Chiefs (2012), the University of Alabama (2017), and the Buffalo Bills (2018-2021) before taking the job as head coach of the Giants.
