It seemed a foregone conclusion that the New York Giants would be parting ways with Will Tye.
The former starting tight end was simply outplayed by Rhett Ellison, Evan Engram, Jerell Adams, and Matt LaCosse as the Giants sought to upgrade the tight end position. He wasn’t without a job for long, however, as reports indicate he was claimed off the waiver wire by the New York Jets.
The Jets badly need a capable tight end (and receiving options in general) after releasing Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, and the neck injury suffered by Quincy Enunwa.
