Andrew Graf asks: With all the questions along the offensive line, are you surprised they didn’t try to resign Ben Bredeson? He seems like a better player than Aaron Stinnie and his contract was very reasonable.
Ed says: Andrew, I was a little surprised that the Giants chose not to bring Bredeson back. He signed a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for $3 million, with $1.75 million guaranteed.
Maybe this was partially about cost. Stinnie signed for one year, $1,292,500. Maybe it was about starting over with some different furniture on the offensive line.
