Ben McAdoo was the hero the Giants needed, but not the one they deserved.
Everyone (including myself) thought firing McAdoo after the 2017 season would fix the team’s blatant issue on offense.
His offense was predictable and there was a ton of turmoil surrounding the culture of the team for the entirety of his final season.
But we are now learning that the problem all along was the play of quarterback Eli Manning.
With Pat Shurmur at the helm and Saquon Barkley in his back pocket, Manning looks no different than the player he was under McAdoo for the last few seasons.
