There were 14 Giants too injured to play on Friday night and five more players who got hurt during the game. That doesn’t even count a rookie safety who was already lost for the season, and a Pro Bowl defensive end who’s been in limbo since blowing up his own hand.
And now the Giants have learned they’ve lost two more safeties for the season, and middle linebacker Jon Beason’s status for the season opener is at least somewhat in doubt. The hits for the Giants just keep on coming, and with less than three weeks until the start of the regular season, they would really like that to stop.
