Authorities have identified the body that was found Tuesday inside the home of Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins.
The Bergen County prosecutor’s office told CBS that Roosevelt Rene, 25, is the person who died at Jenkins’ residence in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, though it’s unclear how. His death is being treated as a homicide.
Officials said Rene was a family friend who had been living at the house. It’s unclear when he died.
“The manner of death will be determined by the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office after a post-mortem exam,” officials said.
