The Arizona Cardinals are “stepping up their efforts” to trade safety/linebacker Deone Bucannon, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
It’s clear that first-year head coach Steve Wilks is trying to build “his” defense “his way.”
Bucannon is a free agent at season’s end.
The former first-round pick is struggling big-time this season, according to Pro Football Focus.
His grade of 28.2 ranks dead-last among linebackers.
There was also a report last week that Arizona was looking to trade linebacker Haason Reddick.
Reddick was the 13th pick in last season’s draft.
