Dan Duggan of The Athletic reported that Corey Coleman came in for a workout with the New York Giants on Wednesday. On Thursday, Duggan confirmed that the team signed Coleman to their practice squad and cut return specialist Kalif Raymond to make room for him.
For anyone unfamiliar with Coleman, he’s a former first-round draft pick of the Cleveland Browns. He was drafted No. 16 overall in the 2016 NFL Draft.
According to Pro Football Reference, Coleman made 18 starts for the Browns over two seasons. But Cleveland tired of his presence and traded him to the Buffalo Bills for a 2020 seventh-round draft pick.
