Archie Manning has been watching Giants games and rooting for the team for the last 11 seasons while his son has been the franchise quarterback.
On Thursday, he witnessed his first practice.
The patriarch of football's first family was a guest for the final workout of minicamp. He later told Newsday's Neil Best that he had never been to a practice to watch Eli.
Archie Manning was just a spectator, sitting at a nearby table for the majority of the brief practice.
The Giants couldn't get him a few reps?
"He was kind of itching a little bit," quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan said afterward.
