Looks like Jason Pierre-Paul has company in the “NFL fireworks hand burn” ward.
Buccaneers cornerback C.J. Wilson suffered a “severe” hand injury in a July 4 fireworks accident, the Tampa Tribune confirmed Wednesday.
There was no word on Wilson’s condition as Bucs officials declined to comment. The 25-year-old isn’t of Pierre-Paul’s caliber: He played in two games for the Bucs last season and two games for the Bears the year prior.
Pierre-Paul, the star defensive end, remained out of sight from the Giants on Tuesday, three days after sustaining burns to both of his hands in an explosion gone wrong.
