It’s funny how things work in and around the NFL draft. There are some years where it’s easy to tell where the Giants are looking. Sometimes the entire world – or, you know, the part of it that cares – knows which direction they’re leaning. Then there are years where everything seems to change in the last few days – even if it really doesn’t.
Take last year, for example. The Giants, in reality, fell in love with Odell Beckham Jr. early in the process and had him in their sights for months. But for a long time before the draft the word on the NFL street was that Mike Evans was really the receiver they wanted and if he was gone they’d take an offensive lineman.
