We theorized yesterday that Alonzo Russell would make the Giants’ 53-man roster, while Kyle Lauletta would be bound to sign with the Cowboys or Eagles if released by the team.
I guess you can count us up as right on both accounts?
In a weird series of moves, wide-receiver Alonzo Russell finds himself on the outside looking-in after seeming to finally make a 53-man roster out of camp. After trying to do so in his first three years in the NFL as an un-drafted free agent (while twice being snipped on cut-down day), Russell was released Sunday after the team claimed wide-out Cody Core from the Bengals off waivers.
