Alabama's Nick Saban wanted Giants job, ridiculous salary, according to Tom Arnold

Tom Arnold is either telling true lies, or he just let the world in on a stunning scoop.

The comedian told ESPN's Paul Finebaum on Friday during an interview that Alabama coach Nick Saban expressed interest this past January in the Giants' then-open head coaching job, and the team briefly entertained the idea they could throw Ben McAdoo overboard to land Saban.

Arnold's juicy scoop sounds too good to be true, and some of his details certainly do not add up. But Arnold is a well-known friend of Giants co-owner Steve Tisch.
