No matter how many inspirational phrases Tom Coughlin hangs throughout the halls of the Giants practice facility or the deep dives he does into understanding the minds of his Millennials, few things motivate better than his physical acts.
“He comes in, he’s doing jumping jacks in the meetings,” linebacker Jon Beason said. “It’s always a joy to see how much he loves to do what he does, and how much of a competitor he is.”
Coughlin, 69, kept his men energized in recent weeks despite the slow start. He harped on themes ranging from finishing games to remaining in the playoff race and the chase for NFC East supremacy.
