For two years at Virginia Tech, Jayron Hosley watched and cheered for Tyrod Taylor. A reunion comes Sunday in, of all places, Buffalo, where the Giants get a first-hand look at what all the fuss is about.
The knock on the Bills heading into this season was that they put together a worthy team without a worthy quarterback, a familiar refrain for a Rex Ryan-coached outfit. They had EJ Manuel, Matt Cassel and Taylor, and there was no smart money on Taylor emerging as the starter.
But he did. The Bills are 2-1 and Taylor — after four years sitting on the bench in Baltimore behind Joe Flacco — has been an early-season revelation.
