Last weekend’s Giants rookie mini-camp turned out to be extremely beneficial to four players who impressed the coaching staff and were signed to contracts as a result of their work on the field.
The Giants signed running back Kenneth Harper (Temple), receiver Ben Edwards (Richmond), tight end Will Tye (Stony Brook) and defensive tackle Carlif Taylor (Southern Connecticut).
To make room on the roster, the Giants waived linebacker James Davidson and safety Thomas Gordon and terminated the contract of running back Chris Ogbonnaya.
These are bottom-of-the-roster moves, but every year a few undrafted free agents make the team.
