We found out earlier Wednesday that the New York Giants had signed running back Rod Smith, formerly of the Dallas Cowboys, to compete for a spot as a reserve running back. Let’s learn a few things about him.
- The best game of Smith’s career came against the Giants in 2017. He carried six times for 47 yards and one touchdown, and also had 5 catches for 113 yards and a score in a 30-10 Dallas victory on Dec. 12 of that year. The touchdown reception was an 81-yarder.
- After going undrafted, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks as a fullback.
