At the beginning of the offseason workout program, Jackson, a 2014 sixth-round draft pick by the Giants, was approached by the team about moving from cornerback to safety.
His response: “Let’s do it.” That transition took another step on Sunday at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center when Jackson got his first look on the top tandem with rookie Landon Collins, who has been slotted on the first team since Day 1. With the team in shoulder pads for the first time at training camp, Jackson flashed on a handful of plays, including ripping the ball out of the hands of a tight end to disrupt a catch.
