New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll announced Sunday afternoon that the Giants have cut 10 players as they begin trimming their roster from 90 to 53 players. The most notable cut was guard Marcus McKethan.
McKethan was selected in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 173rd overall. He missed his rookie season after suffering a torn ACL during training camp. He played in 16 games with five starts last season, seeing time at both left and right guard.
If the Giants don’t re-sign McKethan to the practice squad, he will become the first draft pick of the Joe Schoen era as GM to no longer be part of the team.
