Logan Thomas, who was with the Giants as a quarterback in training camp, received a $75,000 signing bonus from the Bills to join their active roster as a tight end this week, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Giants quarterbacks coach Frank Cignetti Jr. said the team never looked at Thomas as a tight end, but he's not surprised that the 6-foot-6, 250-pounder has been moved to the position.
"First off, Logan is a tremendous individual, tremendous football player," Cignetti said. "When you look at the physical measurables, you can see somebody taking a shot at Logan playing tight end.
