The New York Giants have plenty of holes to fill this season after a 3-13 record. New York has the second overall pick in the NFL Draft with plenty of needs to address. Before finding the players of the future, the Giants need to find a head coach for the present. Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo took over as the interim head coach once the Giants fired Ben McAdoo in the middle of the season and are still looking for their next head coach.

Tom Brady Endorses Josh McDaniels
New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels remains the Giants favorite, according to Gary Myers of the New York Daily Post. McDaniels also has a big supporter, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has played 14 of his 18 seasons with McDaniels and gave his endorsement for his offensive coordinator on WEEI Sports Radio Network Wednesday.
“I haven’t spoken to Josh about that, but I can understand obviously why people would have those guys at the top of their list," Brady said. "Josh has done an incredible job. He’s an incredible coach and a great friend. This is that time of year where coaches get an opportunity. A lot of coaches got fired and that means other guys will get hired. You want to take the good ones. We have some great coaches and Josh has been such a great coach for me. All those things sort themselves out. I am sure he will be focused on our team and what he needs to do to help us win just like everyone else will when the time comes.”
McDaniels has rebuilt his reputation while leading the Patriots’ offense for the past five seasons after a less-than-successful head coaching debut in Denver. Perhaps, he can bring some of the "Brady Effect" to a Giants team who may be looking for a new franchise quarterback.
Jim Schwartz Interview Request
The Giants submitted a request to interview Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Schartz has emerged as an early favorite for the Giants head coaching job according to ESPN.
Schwartz is 51 years old with a head coaching career record of 29-51. He spent his five head coaching seasons with the Detroit Lions and even though his record isn't great, he took a 0-16 Lions team and turned them into a 10-6 playoff team in just three seasons.
Steve Spagnuolo Interview For Head Coaching Job
During his time as interim head coach, Spagnuolo fielded a 1-3 record winning his last game of the regular season 18-10 against the Washington Redskins. Michael Eisen Senior Writer for the Giants reported Spagnuolo met with team president John Mara, general manager Dave Gettleman, and assistant general manager Kevin Abrams on Wednesday about the head coaching job.
Spagnuolo interviewed for the Giants' job last season so it isn't surprising to see him interviewing again. However, it'd be a bit surprising to see him end up with the job considering the Giants want a fresh start. The Giants' defense wasn't great this season and he was a disaster as a head coach in St. Louis.
