The New York Giants struggled with injuries and missed out on the playoffs yet again in 2014, and are looking to improve their roster to get over the hump next year. What needs to they have to address in this year’s draft?
LINEBACKER
New York's defense was not very good - to put it nicely - last season, and they desperately need to upgrade that unit. The linebacking core is one of the worst in the league, and the Giants will look to draft one in the first round. Miami's Denzel Perryman and UCLA's Eric Kendricks are the two top options for them with the No. 9 overall pick.
DEFENSIVE END
Jason Pierre-Paul is a free agent, and even if he does come back (as both sides say they want to happen), New York needs someone else who will scare opposing quarterbacks. Clemson’s Vic Beasley could be in play if he slips to the 9th pick in the first round, as will Kentucky’s Alvin Dupree.
OFFENSIVE LINE
The Giants only have the center position set on the offensive line, and they'd love to stock up on lineman in the draft. Brandon Scherff from Iowa and Cedric Ogbuehi from Texas A&M are the potential first-round draft picks.
