After the New York Giants fell to 3-4 with a 31-21 loss in Arlington to the Dallas Cowboys a few weeks back, Jason Pierre-Paul made a bold proclamation that the Giants were good enough to win their last nine games.
The Giants have gone 0-3 since Pierre-Paul's statement, falling to 3-7 while barely remaining in mathematical contention for a playoff spot.
Pierre-Paul remains undeterred.
"Don't count us out yet," Pierre-Paul said this week, via Danny Knobler of ESPN New York. "We made it hard on ourselves, but we can dig out of this hole."
With the Giants hosting the Cowboys on Sunday, the dynamic defensive force believes his team will exert its will on the MetLife Stadium turf.
"They've got to come through here," he said. "You know what I mean. Every team's got to come through here. Any team that comes through here, we're going to be playing our hardest. We've made it hard on ourselves, in this predicament that we're in right now. We can dig ourselves out of it by winning all these games. We've got six games left. Let's win them. I think we can."
