In today's edition of Giants rumors, the New York Giants may be considering cutting safety Will Hill this offseason if the troubled defensive back in suspended once again under the NFL's substance-abuse policy.
In a recent mailbag for ESPN.com, NY Giants writer Dan Graziano tackled the question about whether or not the Giants will hold on to Hill after his recent transgressions:
"We still don’t know for sure (a) whether Hill will be suspended, since he could win his appeal, (b) for how long, though it could be anywhere from six games to a full year based on his history with the league’s drug policy or (c) whether the Giants will release him," said Graziano. "To the last matter, I think it’s fair to speculate the Giants will cut ties with Hill if he’s suspended for the third year in a row, but they need to see what happens before making that decision."
Graziano names Stevie Brown as a potential replacement, especially if last year's projected starter fully recovers from surgery on his ACL prior to the season.
