The New York Giants finished the regular season with a 3-13 record, dead last in the NFC East. As shown by the disappointing season, New York has plenty of holes they need to fill, but there's still plenty of talent on this roster. Obviously, they still need to figure out the Odell Beckham situation, but the Giants can win with him (for clear reasons) or without him if they get a sizable return for their star wideout.
Can New York get back to the playoffs next season? It may seem like a longshot, but if they do these three things, we think it's a realistic possibility.
1) Determine what they're doing at the quarterback position
New York certainly has plenty of other positions that are in more dire need of an upgrade but figuring out a stable future and plan for the quarterback position is paramount to their success - they can't go through what they went through with Ben McAdoo again in 2018. Either commit to Eli Manning for the immediate future and worry about developing his successor (maybe Davis Webb) over time or use the No. 2 overall pick to select a quarterback.
They've discussed using that quick to take a quarterback, drafting another top prospect like Bradley Chubb or Saquon Barkley, or even trading back. That decision will give this franchise a needed direction.

2) Improve the offensive line
New York's offensive line is one of the worst units in the NFL. Chad Wheeler is a mess at right tackle and Ereck Flowers wasn't much better, which is why they went out and signed Nate Solder. However, the Giants have more than one hole they need to fill among that group. The talent and depth in this year's class is much better than last year's offensive line class, so still expect them to use a pick or two on offensive linemen.

3) Find leadership on defense
The Giants ranked in the bottom five in every major defensive category last season, but it's not like they lack talent on that unit. Sure, they need to upgrade their linebacking core, but the group's biggest problem was how dysfunctional they were. Finding leadership - whether it be someone in the locker room stepping up or them signing another veteran free agent like NaVorro Bowman - will be key for them.
