In preparation for their friendly against the Puerto Rican National Team this Friday, NYCFC will bring in two players for a trial. Joining the club will be goalkeeper Andre Rwals and defender Jhon Kennedy Hurtado. A friendly match is always an opportunity for players to make a statement, especially if they need a job.
At 23 years old, Rwals might sound familiar to you as he was selected by NYCFC in the third round of the MLS Superdraft, however, his contract never got picked up by the club. Instead, Rwals joined their affiliate USL club, the Wilmington Hammerheads in August and has appeared 21 times.
