A pair of New York City FC midfielders have been selected to MLS’s Team of the Week for week four.
Tommy McNamara scored his second goal of the season against New England, which was nominated for MLS Goal of the Week, and completed more then 75% of his passes in the attacking third. This is the second time McNamara has been named to MLS team of the week for the 2016 season (Week 1).
Federico Bravo also had an impressive match, completing 78% of his passes (59 of 75) against New England. The midfielder also made a match-saving play, in the 75th minute against the Revolution, New England forward Charlie Davies had an open shot on net, but the midfielder jumped in front of the goal and cleared the ball off the line to help secure the draw.
