In the fallout of New York City FC’s underwhelming showing in the 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs, it has seemed that Blues manager Domé Torrent has his sights set on destinations other than the five boroughs.
The Domé Saga began in the post-game press conference of NYCFC’s 2-1 loss to Toronto FC where Torrent made some cryptic comments as they pertain to his future in New York. Additionally, Torrent gave Spanish podcast Se Llama Soccer a litany of complaints pertaining to how poorly NYCFC is run.
Earlier today, ESPN reported that sources close to the situation have told them that Torrent will be stepping down from his post as NYCFC manager when he speaks with the club’s owners “in the coming days.
