After a seven goal frenzy Sunday afternoon that saw NYCFC edge the Chicago Fire 4-3, here’s my analysis and player ratings.
David Villa: 5.0
If there’s anyone that can afford to have an “off” game, it’s the captain. I don’t even feel comfortable saying he might of played bad, but we’ve definitely seen better matches from Villa.
In all fairness, he did not see much of the ball which is mind boggling considering all the offense in the game. Villa had two significant chances on net both shot directly at the keeper. It is encouraging seeing NYCFC being able to get the offense going without relying on Villa.
