Despite the fact that New York City FC has only been around for a few years, they’re doing a nice job of developing young players.
NYCFC has announced the signing of their second homegrown player in Joe Scally.

The 15 year-old Scally joined NYCFC’s academy two years ago as a midfielder, but he eventually moved to right back, which has really helped his career take off.
Scally has become good friends with James Sands, who was NYCFC’s first ever home grown signing and sporting director Claudio Reyna sounds excited to have them both on board now.
