It was a nice sunny Sunday afternoon for Kwadwo Poku until two hours ago. According to multiple reports, specifically Empire of Soccer, the 22-year old midfielder has been sold to Miami FC.
After missing the 18-man roster in yesterday’s match, and struggling to find a place in Patrick Vieira’s squad in the 2016 campaign, Poku will now take his talents to South Beach.
The NASL team will increase Poku’s weekly wage to a reported $300,000 and according to multiple sources, Poku’s transfer fee was about $750,000.
The midfielder was rumored to leave NYCFC last year in a possible trade with the Philadelphia Union, but the deal never fell through.
