New York City FC have announced that they have received $175,000 in allocation money from the LA Galaxy in exchange for a 2019 international roster spot.
Of the $175,000 received, $100,000 of it will be General Allocation Money (GAM), with the remaining $75,000 being Targeted Allocation Money (TAM), giving NYCFC a significant amount of spending money for the summer transfer window should they need it.
This move was likely an easy decision, seeing as a majority of their offseason moves were bringing American-born players from overseas, with Alexandru Mitrita and Héber being the only real international signings this year.
