Starting today, New York City FC will host its annual Young Leader Training at P.S. 83 in East Harlem. More than 40 local Young Leaders from ‘City in the Community’ (CITC) NY programs will come together to take part in a week-long training that will provide the skills and knowledge needed to become impactful leaders in their individual communities.
This is part of a Group-wide effort by City Football Group (CFG), NYCFC’s ownership Group, to empower the next generation of community leaders to tackle social issues effecting their local communities using the power of soccer. Community coaches from NYCFC’s sister Club, Manchester City FC, will by flying to New York City to put on this training alongside NYCFC community coaches.
