New York City FC signs goalkeeper Andre Rawls

NYCFC's third round SuperDraft pick in 2015, Rawls spent last season with Wilmington Hammerheads.

On the heels of the announcement of a loan deal for Shannon Gomez, NYCFC has officially rounded out its stable of goalkeepers.

Andre Rawls, who has been on trial with the team since December's friendly date against Puerto Rico, has signed a one-year contract. He will be the third option between the sticks, backing up Josh Saunders and Eirik Johansen.

This is the first MLS contract for Rawls, who was drafted by the Blues out of St. Mary's College in the third round of the 2015 SuperDraft, but ended up spending the season with the club's USL affiliate in Wilmington, North Carolina.
