New York City FC traded their fourth overall pick to the Chicago Fire for Jack Harrison of Wake Forest, the first overall pick of the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. Also included in the deal, New York City FC will give the Chicago Fire allocation money.
Harrison, a 19-year old attacking player, joins the Club after a standout Freshman season at Wake Forest University that saw him score eight goals and tally 11 assists on the way to winning the ACC Offensive Player of the Year award. Prior to his time in North Carolina, the former Manchester United academy product won the 2014-15 Gatorade National Player of the Year award in his final season at Berkshire School in Sheffield, Mass.
