Maximo Carrizo made his professional debut on Sunday when NCYCF II drew Inter Miami 2 in regular time then went on to win the penalty shootout. The midfielder came on as a substitute in the 83rd minute and helped see out the game.
A product of the NYCFC Academy, Carrizo signed with New York City on his 14th birthday, making him the youngest signing in the history of MLS. The midfielder trained with the Senior Team earlier this year, and featured in the U-15 team that participated in the Generation adidas Cup tournament in the spring, but this was his first appearance for NYCFC II, a professional team that competes in the third-tier league MLS NEXT Pro.
