Despite them returning to team training this week, New York City FC has revealed that the injury statuses of primary playmaker Maxi Moralez and Ismael Tajouri-Shradi is “uncertain” according to their most recent Keys to the Match article. Moralez previously sustained a calf injury in the MLS is Back Tournament last month, but remained available throughout the remainder of the tournament. Tajouri-Shradi, however, has been completely absent since picking up an undisclosed hamstring injury against Toronto FC in the same tournament.
