A day after the Gators unleashed an offensive barrage of historic proportions -- scoring the most runs in MCWS history in a 24-4 rout -- the Tigers rebounded in impressive fashion, pouring in six runs in the second inning en route to an eventual 14-run margin of victory.
Thatcher Hurd started for LSU, allowing two runs on two hits in six innings with seven strikeouts. Riley Cooper and Gavin Guidry closed out the win for the Tigers.
