The time is almost here! In just three days, New York City FC officially kick off their 2020 campaign in their first CONCACAF Champions League matchup against Costa Rican champions AD San Carlos on the road. And right around this time is usually when clubs start announcing their provisional rosters for the tournament.
The CCL’s roster rules are pretty lenient in comparison to its European counterpart, as well as domestic MLS regulations. How it works is that a team can have a roster of up to 35 players and a minimum of 18. That’s pretty much it.
