Gotham FC grabbed a 1-0 away win against the Orlando Pride in an exciting game with many scoring chances. The Gotham squad felt more settled than they did in their first two games of the 2022 NWSL Challenge Cup, and looked to be the more dangerous of the two sides.
When Midge Purce found the back of the net in the 86th minute she not only scored Gotham’s first goal from open play this year, she basically saved the tam’s chances of advancing to the next round. Good thing U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Vlatko Andonovski called her up to the national team camp in April.
