Philadelphia Union head coach Jim Curtin announced that training was canceled on Thursday because of COVID-19 health and safety protocols. The Union is set to play New York City FC in the Eastern Conference Final of the 2021 MLS Cup two days from now.
According to a report in Brotherly Game, Curtin held a press conference earlier today to discuss the cancelation but didn’t name any specific players who might now be unavailable to play Sunday. Curtin said that training resumed today with the players who are cleared to play.
As reported in Brotherly Game, Curtin said “I hope everyone can now respect the fact that I can’t speak on the health of certain individual players.
