An endorsement of Patrick Vieira's tactics from AMC's "Better Call Saul"

In the middle of last Monday's all-new episode of Better Call Saul, the acclaimed AMC original series, I came across an amazing NYCFC nugget. It was hidden in plain sight.

Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) is scribbling away on a legal pad, repeating the same two letters over and over:

"WM."

Devotees will note that "WM" is the old-school nickname for the infamous 3-2-2-3 formation gifted to MLS by fearless NYCFC gaffer Patrick Vieira. The shape hasn't been entirely well-received; New York City sits at a humble record of 1W-1L-2D through five games.
